The Plan for infrastructure, transport and housing will be presented this week at the Congress according to FIDEX, the plan should bring concrete planning of actions, with special attention to the planning and project phases, allowing the launch of studies and projects that give rise, in turn, to an optimal investment, where deadlines are met and are not exceeded the budgets initially envisaged, avoiding modified during the execution of works
“We are convinced that in times of crisis like these, characterized by the restrictions, we must invest little, but invest well,” pointed out the CEO of FIDEX, Fernando Argüello. An adequate assessment of the work of engineering and consulting, investing 7% instead of the current 4-5% of the total budget for the development of infrastructure, can save more than 20% the execution cost.
FIDEX has also asked the Executive to include in the budget items that tackle issues as accessibility to large cities, railway connections with large ports, border crossings with France saturation, the Elimination of dangerous crossings on conventional roads, and very fundamentally the conservation and maintenance of existing infrastructure
Madrid. -The forum for excellence in engineering (FIDEX), which brings together ten of the older and more internationalized companies in the sector of civil engineering, hopes that the Plan for infrastructure, transport and housing (PITVI), which will be presented this week at the Congress of Deputies, includes the resources necessary to enable them to plan and project with quality infrastructure that the country needsthus optimizing future investment.
“Understand that the plan will bring with it a schedule of performances that takes into account the necessary investment in the early stages of planning and project and, consequently, the launch of studies and projects of quality enabling investment in certain deadlines and, of course, avoiding the additional costs in the construction phase”, explained the Director General of FIDEXFernando Arguello.
The Forum believes that the Government has to be sensitive, and now more that ever, the need for maximum efficiency of each one of its investments, which considers it essential to provide the time and resources necessary to study in depth the future projects, as well as all its alternatives and variants.
“We are convinced that in times of crisis like these, characterized by the restrictions, we must invest little, but invest well,” pointed out the CEO of FIDEX, Fernando Argüello, who pointed out that “a proper valuation of the engineering and consultancy work, investing 7% instead of 4 or 5% of the total budget for the development of an infrastructure”You can save more than 20% the cost of the execution of the work. “A small increase of investment in early stage leads to a very significant reduction in the overall cost of the process”.
In the same way, FIDEX has also requested the Executive of Mariano Rajoy, who cannot forget the need to go working on the future of the country with a view to the general budget of the State which should be presented in the coming weeks. With little investment in engineering, but well targeted, can achieve that future investments in execution of works are more efficient.
“As well as the infrastructure plan, budgets, within its understandable austerity, should not forget that this country has to continue planning for your future.” “We cannot stop us and now is the time of studying the best options for the coming years, which will result in more adequate to our needs and without unnecessary additional costs infrastructure,” insisted Arguello.
Among other issues, the forum for the engineering excellence believes that budgets should address issues as accessibility to large cities, railway connections with large ports, border crossings with France saturation, the Elimination of dangerous crossings on conventional roads, and very fundamentally the conservation and maintenance of existing infrastructure.
The Association is the common purpose of the pursuit of excellence and professionalism in the development of professional engineering services, sharing the same vision about the absolute necessity of achieving excellence in the professional services of planning, study of alternatives, project, design, execution control and management of the operation and maintenance of infrastructure.
The specific objectives of FIDEX include the promote the quality of engineering work, innovate in techniques and management models, promote social responsibility and the sustainability of infrastructures, inform the public of the technical developments in the sector or support management to improve the quality and efficiency of infrastructures. All leading the internationalization of Spanish engineering and thus contributing to the dissemination of the Spain brand.
Currently, the ten founding companies that compose the FIDEX are: Eptisa, Euroconsult, Euroestudios, Getinsa, Inocsa, Intecsa & #8208; Inarsa and Inypsa, Paymacotas, Prointec Typsa.
Members of the FIDEX grouped, according to the latest published figures, more than eight thousand professionals and billed together more than six hundred million euros a year in civil engineering (the third part of this figure invoiced in foreign markets). These figures represent about half of the total turnover of the sector of Spanish civil engineering represented in Tecniberia, percentage exceeding 75% of turnover in civil engineering in foreign markets.
